Carol Carr

Carol's career began in the arts. She ran major community arts centres in London and Norwich before embarking on her career with the BBC.  A radio journalist and senior producer with BBC Scotland, she ran nationwide media campaigns and produced numerous documentaries and  programmes on the arts, travel, rural, social and environmental issues. She also worked as 'marketing executive' promoting BBC television programmes internationally through BBC Worldwide.  She is widely travelled having reported from many corners of the globe.  A personal highlight of her 15 years with the BBC was her role as 'foreign correspondent' in India and Tibet, filming for BBC 2's renowned 'Correspondent' series.

She has now been farming in partnership with her husband for 10 years, simultaneously running her  marketing business  'Wight man-Carr Communications'  and  now 'Purple Thistle PR'  from her home in Wigtownshire, Galloway in south west Scotland.
